Mike Simmons is founder of Catalyst Sale and Catalyst A.C.T.S., a fractional chief revenue officer, executive coach, and host of the Find My Catalyst Podcast.
The oldest of seven children, he started at Arizona State University at 17. He spent about seven years in UPS operations, left after being turned down for an internal role, then spent seven years in e-learning marketing at SmartForce / SkillSoft. From about 2007 to 2015 he rose from individual contributor to vice president of sales, Americas, at O'Reilly Media (Safari Books Online).
In 2015 he co-founded Catalyst Sale with Mike Conner at ASU SkySong in Scottsdale, helping early-stage SaaS companies build enterprise sales organizations. In 2021 he served as CRO of CybSafe. He now works as a fractional CRO, coach, and speaker for technical SaaS founders scaling from roughly $2 million to $80 million in ARR. Clients have included Intel, Microsoft, MIT, Walt Disney Company, and Full Sail University. The Find My Catalyst Podcast has more than 400 episodes. He also runs The Phoenix Club community. He lives in Scottsdale with his family.
