Susan McGalla

Susan P. McGalla is vice president for advancement and strategic communications at Brophy College Preparatory.
Born May 31, 1964, in East Liverpool, Ohio, she grew up with two older brothers and a football-coach father and earned a B.A. in business and marketing from Mount Union College in 1986. She started in a 30-week training program at Joseph Horne, then joined American Eagle Outfitters in 1994 as a divisional merchandise buyer. She rose to president and chief merchandising officer in 2007, helping grow a portfolio that reached roughly $3 billion, and left in January 2008 to raise her children.
She later served as CEO of Wet Seal (2011–2012), founded P3 Executive Consulting in Pittsburgh in 2013, and was vice president of business strategy and creative development for the Pittsburgh Steelers, where she built the Steelers Nation Unite loyalty program. She has sat on the HFF Inc. board. She now works at Brophy, on the same campus where her son attends school.
