Oh, so the answer would be though you would do it.
Mike Lindstrom:I mean, if they say we're in
Rylee Baldri:Like I said, I'm 150%er.
Rylee Baldri:I already went this far.
Dallas Baldri:We don't, we don't quit.
Rylee Baldri:I'm not backing down now.
Rylee Baldri:And I win.
Mike Lindstrom:What about… I know you can't speak for the other families, is
Mike Lindstrom:there a sense that everybody's all in?
Mike Lindstrom:Is there anybody that has apprehension?
Dallas Baldri:Think a couple, might.
Mike Lindstrom:Back out?
Rylee Baldri:There's a couple families that don't wanna do it again.
Mike Lindstrom:It's, it's a rough road, man.
Dallas Baldri:It is.
Mike Lindstrom:The reality show's no joke.
Mike Lindstrom:I mean, you're putting yourself out to the world.
Rylee Baldri:Hey, listen.
Rylee Baldri:I've had family call me and just tell me how disgusted they are.
Rylee Baldri:And I'm like, "You know what?
Rylee Baldri:I'm glad you revealed yourself now
Mike Lindstrom:Oh, man.
Mike Lindstrom:Mike Lindstrom, my man, Scott Leese.
Mike Lindstrom:Check out my shirt, man.
Mike Lindstrom:You see this?
Scott Leese:Three up, three down.
Mike Lindstrom:Three up, three down.
Mike Lindstrom:You know what sport that is?
Scott Leese:Baseball.
Mike Lindstrom:Baseball?
Scott Leese:Or softball.
Mike Lindstrom:Soccer guy.
Mike Lindstrom:You know baseball, huh?
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Scott Leese:Well, you forget.
Scott Leese:I played baseball, a long time too.
Mike Lindstrom:We have a reality show in Scottsdale.
Mike Lindstrom:Do you know that?
Scott Leese:I only recently learned.
Scott Leese:Paramount Plus.
Mike Lindstrom:Executive producer, Kim Kardashian.
Mike Lindstrom:Kim Kardashian calls you up and says, Hey, we're gonna do a reality show.
Mike Lindstrom:We want you as a parent to be featured." You in?
Mike Lindstrom:Yes or no?
Scott Leese:I have to pause.
Scott Leese:I'm not sure.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Scott Leese:I don't know.
Scott Leese:I'd have to think about it.
Mike Lindstrom:She's one of most influential people on the planet.
Scott Leese:I know.
Scott Leese:I would probably say yes, but I'm, I'm pausing a little.
Mike Lindstrom:And then the cameras roll and then they do editing.
Scott Leese:then I'm in trouble.
Mike Lindstrom:And then you're in trouble.
Mike Lindstrom:So we're gonna find out about this because the, the couple that we have, the Baldri
Mike Lindstrom:family, so Dallas and Rylee we got them.
Mike Lindstrom:We got them.
Mike Lindstrom:We got them.
Mike Lindstrom:I can't believe we got them.
Scott Leese:The stars of the show.
Mike Lindstrom:We're really pumped to get them on the show.
Mike Lindstrom:So without further ado, we bring our guests in here, beautiful Rylee,
Mike Lindstrom:Dallas, they just look so dapper.
Scott Leese:Coordinated outfits and everything.
Mike Lindstrom:I love it.
Scott Leese:Amazing.
Mike Lindstrom:I love it.
Mike Lindstrom:All right.
Mike Lindstrom:So we always start off each of these interviews with "What's Your
Mike Lindstrom:Story?" Take it where you want.
Mike Lindstrom:Couple two-minute version.
Mike Lindstrom:Sure.
Mike Lindstrom:give us the timeline.
Mike Lindstrom:Talk about the family
Mike Lindstrom:- Dallas Baldri: Sure.
Mike Lindstrom:…how you got involved.
Mike Lindstrom:And we're gonna get into the rabbit holes, the show, how you got, all that stuff.
Mike Lindstrom:So let's get the, what's your story out first?
Dallas Baldri:We'll get into all the good stuff.
Dallas Baldri:Let's go.
Dallas Baldri:and it's an honor and a pleasure to be here.
Dallas Baldri:Thank you for having us.
Mike Lindstrom:Absolutely.
Mike Lindstrom:So Dallas and Rylee Baldri, better known as "the high
Mike Lindstrom:definition couple", the HD couple.
Mike Lindstrom:we have two very different stories.
Mike Lindstrom:Mine, I grew up in an entrepreneur family, was a lifelong entrepreneur
Mike Lindstrom:from selling candy at school, the trading cards, the pagers, if
Mike Lindstrom:anybody still knows what those are.
Mike Lindstrom:I had a pager.
Scott Leese:Yeah, I had one too.
Dallas Baldri:but when I was 16, my girlfriend at the time,
Dallas Baldri:found out she was pregnant.
Dallas Baldri:So I had a kid at 17.
Dallas Baldri:I graduated high school on the day my daughter turned one, but I used that
Dallas Baldri:as motivation to try to do something big in my life, to make sure that I'm
Dallas Baldri:taking care of my beautiful little girl.
Dallas Baldri:So I put myself through college, went to Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dallas Baldri:I went on to law school, Widener Law.
Dallas Baldri:ended up getting an MBA and, just continued to become an entrepreneur
Dallas Baldri:and worked for my uncle, did very well.
Dallas Baldri:And then everything crashed, came down in 2008 2009.
Dallas Baldri:Lost my house, was sleeping in my car.
Dallas Baldri:My sister said, Hey, come up to Utah where she was living at the time and you
Dallas Baldri:can come at least crash on my couch." So I did that and met this beautiful lady.
Rylee Baldri:[laughing]
Mike Lindstrom:Oh my.
Rylee Baldri:[laughing]
Rylee Baldri:So I have totally polar opposite
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:…upbringing as Dallas.
Rylee Baldri:I come from a blue collar family.
Rylee Baldri:And college was talked about, but it wasn't like a serious conversation.
Rylee Baldri:It was more of like the grind, right?
Rylee Baldri:Like in just working.
Rylee Baldri:And my dad and my parents always instilled in me like hard work always pays off.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And he really instilled in us like 150% Both
Rylee Baldri:of my parents are military.
Rylee Baldri:and so my mom did 20 years, retired at 60.
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Rylee Baldri:She went to Camp Fallujah.
Rylee Baldri:So the woman is amazing, but
Dallas Baldri:Really is.
Rylee Baldri:I'm from Utah.
Rylee Baldri:The culture there is you get married really young.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Rylee Baldri:And you have kids very young and that's exactly what I did.
Rylee Baldri:And I had my first son at 18 years old.
Rylee Baldri:And, he actually, at one was diagnosed with cancer.
Mike Lindstrom:Oh, man.
Rylee Baldri:And his father, amazing person, really good heart.
Rylee Baldri:But we were both so young.
Rylee Baldri:We were both kids and, it just didn't work out.
Rylee Baldri:The stress for him and this, the way he handled it we just ended up separating.
Rylee Baldri:And so I was doing it on my own.
Rylee Baldri:And, got through that.
Rylee Baldri:Thank God.
Rylee Baldri:Thank you, God.
Rylee Baldri:[laughing] And, I actually did really well for my son and I bought us our
Rylee Baldri:first house when I was 23 years old.
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Rylee Baldri:And I just did what my dad said.
Rylee Baldri:he always instilled in me, we give 150% and how you do anything
Rylee Baldri:is how you do everything.
Rylee Baldri:And so I really try to do that with my kids now.
Rylee Baldri:And then, with him when the crash happened, I had lost my job
Rylee Baldri:at the time that was providing the finances for my house.
Rylee Baldri:And so when I met him, I actually was in kind, like the worst part of my life.
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Rylee Baldri:Like it was just a really, really bad time.
Rylee Baldri:And I met him and what's funny is that he didn't, he was in the same situation.
Rylee Baldri:Staying on his sister's couch, but he had this lot of cash in his pocket.
Rylee Baldri:And I'm like, oh, this guy has money.
Dallas Baldri:It was all I had.
Dallas Baldri:It was every dollar to my name because I couldn't get a bank account.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:I had no idea that was all the money that he had.
Rylee Baldri:And so we had a pretty rough start because
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Rylee Baldri:I got pregnant within three months and, I wasn't working.
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Rylee Baldri:And what I love about this man, I don't think it's shared enough.
Rylee Baldri:Like I love him because of his integrity, because of his passion
Rylee Baldri:and what he did at having a child at 17, still putting himself…
Rylee Baldri:He paid for all of his schooling.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Rylee Baldri:But at the time, it was just so hard.
Rylee Baldri:So hard, And we fought really bad.
Rylee Baldri:It was a very… But what I think we both knew, because he had two kids and
Rylee Baldri:I had one, what we both knew is that we're not making this child grow up
Rylee Baldri:without both parents in the same house.
Rylee Baldri:And through hell and high waters, we were gonna make it work even though
Rylee Baldri:it was hell for the first two years.
Rylee Baldri:And then something just clicked where we started thriving, right?
Rylee Baldri:and A lot of prayers.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:A lot of prayers and
Mike Lindstrom:Love it.
Rylee Baldri:Here we are today.
Mike Lindstrom:I love it.
Mike Lindstrom:I love it.
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Mike Lindstrom:So why don't reality shows tell that story?
Mike Lindstrom:See, this is the stuff that's left on the editing floor.
Scott Leese:they only want the drama.
Mike Lindstrom:They want the drama.
Mike Lindstrom:They want all the nonsensical
Mike Lindstrom:- Scott Leese: they want the negative drama, I should say.
Mike Lindstrom:This is what you wanna hear.
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:This is the stuff.
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:But which is why we wanted to bring you on the show, by the way.
Mike Lindstrom:As you can see in this next, hour, it's all good.
Mike Lindstrom:We wanna hear your story.
Mike Lindstrom:The good, bad or indifferent, but the things that are authentic.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah,
Mike Lindstrom:that's the, the hard part about reality.
Mike Lindstrom:People say it's a reality show.
Mike Lindstrom:I'm like, no, no, no.
Mike Lindstrom:It's scripted in a certain regard and you're giving the reality
Mike Lindstrom:of what the producer and Kim Kardashian, God bless her, man.
Mike Lindstrom:She's done amazing things.
Dallas Baldri:Genius.
Dallas Baldri:Icon.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:So
Rylee Baldri:She really is.
Mike Lindstrom:So we have, we're gonna start off with that.
Mike Lindstrom:I gotta get right to that question.
Mike Lindstrom:So tell us the story about how this came to be.
Mike Lindstrom:You, like
Mike Lindstrom:- Scott Leese: Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:…somebody calls you out of the blue.
Scott Leese:Who gets the call?
Mike Lindstrom:Tell us the story.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Well, how'd this happen?
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:So I wanna say it was about a year and a half ago, maybe a little bit longer.
Dallas Baldri:we get a call from a friend of ours at the time who went to the school,
Dallas Baldri:Legendary Prep Academy in Scottsdale.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Dallas Baldri:First baseball school in, in Arizona.
Dallas Baldri:And it would, the school was pretty new.
Dallas Baldri:There wasn't a lot of kids there.
Dallas Baldri:he had said, Hey, do you wanna get interviewed for a TV show?" I said,
Dallas Baldri:"About, what are you talking about?" He said, "Well, I got interviewed for,
Dallas Baldri:they wanna do a real or a docu-series at the time on the kids in baseball.
Dallas Baldri:And they asked, do we know anybody who needs to be interviewed?"
Dallas Baldri:And he's, he referred us.
Dallas Baldri:I said, "Sure, we'll do it." we found out also how he got invited was,
Dallas Baldri:another individual at the school.
Dallas Baldri:They had been following his son through the Little League World Series.
Mike Lindstrom:Gotcha.
Dallas Baldri:And so he was on their radar.
Rylee Baldri:Mm-hmm.
Dallas Baldri:And so we got interviewed.
Dallas Baldri:We said, "Why not?
Dallas Baldri:We'll do it.
Dallas Baldri:is this a YouTube deal or whatever?
Dallas Baldri:let's just do it."
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:what do we have?
Dallas Baldri:we're always open to opportunities." So we got interviewed.
Dallas Baldri:it was ITV, which is, you start looking them up, the kings of reality TV.
Dallas Baldri:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:Well, at, at first
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:…it was like, I didn't believe it.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:[laughing] I'm like, this is not real, And Salvatore,
Rylee Baldri:of course, was like, "I get to play base the sport that I'm like, I love
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah, be on TV.
Rylee Baldri:…and being on TV.
Rylee Baldri:Please, mom and dad, please let's do this." and I didn't believe
Rylee Baldri:it. I'm like, "This is not real.
Rylee Baldri:Whatever.
Rylee Baldri:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:I'll believe it when it actually happens."
Dallas Baldri:Right.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:So, so it was interview, then another interview,
Dallas Baldri:then brought in more people.
Dallas Baldri:It, it was a lot of different interviews, right?
Dallas Baldri:And finally we're, they're like, "Okay, we'll get back to you."
Rylee Baldri:I think after the third interview, we're like, "I think this is
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Actually serious." We start Googling these people
Rylee Baldri:and we're like, "Holy cow."
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Those are like big
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: I mean, these are the top of ITV.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:These are
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: People have had a lot of success.
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Dallas Baldri:And so let's see what happens.
Dallas Baldri:They were gonna try to go pitch it.
Rylee Baldri:Mm-hmm.
Dallas Baldri:Now that they had who they wanted to feature, I think
Dallas Baldri:it was five families at the time.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And, they pitched it.
Dallas Baldri:It was very quiet for a while.
Scott Leese:Cause a lot of time goes by, right?
Dallas Baldri:And then the holidays start coming.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And, and I guess in, in that world, it's
Dallas Baldri:like everything shuts down.
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:It's dark.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:there were rumors like, Oh, we're gonna start filming." So it was
Rylee Baldri:like before holidays started
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:…there were rumors, we're gonna start
Rylee Baldri:filming, but we'd heard nothing.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:We're gonna start filming, but nobody has before.
Mike Lindstrom:So had Kim Kardashian's name come into play at this point?
Dallas Baldri:No.
Rylee Baldri:They told us a celebrity.
Dallas Baldri:An a-list celebrity who had kids in youth sports.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:So we're like, who could it be?
Rylee Baldri:We're like
Dallas Baldri:We though Alyssa Milano, a J-Lo
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Like we're trying to Google because they wouldn't tell us anything.
Mike Lindstrom:Nothing.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Dallas Baldri:And so then it all ha - after it was dark for a
Dallas Baldri:while and quiet, it went quick.
Dallas Baldri:So we got the announcement, "Hey, congratulations.
Dallas Baldri:The show is going to be on Paramount Plus." And they want eight episodes,
Dallas Baldri:one hour long, which to them was, they said, "This is unbelievable." Because
Dallas Baldri:usually they want a pilot or something.
Mike Lindstrom:That's right.
Dallas Baldri:So Paramount Plus, huge in sports especially, right?
Dallas Baldri:I mean, it's a great place to be.
Dallas Baldri:Still didn't tell us who was involved.
Rylee Baldri:Kim works privately and she does not, you know, the way that
Rylee Baldri:she works, it's like, I understand it.
Rylee Baldri:I get it.
Rylee Baldri:and they had to keep it top secret.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Like so they were very like tight-lipped on who it was gonna be.
Rylee Baldri:They kinda gave us hints, but they wouldn't come like
Rylee Baldri:all the way out and say it.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And so we knew it was gonna be someone big because
Rylee Baldri:they're like, "This is someone who's like an icon in the industry."
Rylee Baldri:And we're like, Who could it be?"
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:I didn't… The last person I actually though was Kim.
Dallas Baldri:Didn't even think of her
Rylee Baldri:Not because I don't think she's icon because I thought
Mike Lindstrom:No way she would do it.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah, exactly.
Rylee Baldri:Like she kind of above
Mike Lindstrom:She's not known for
Mike Lindstrom:- Rylee Baldri: She's above this.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:She's not known for like her baseball mom or whatever.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:I can see that.
Dallas Baldri:and so they let us know right, pretty
Dallas Baldri:much right before the filming.
Dallas Baldri:Filming started, I think in end of February.
Dallas Baldri:March.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah,
Dallas Baldri:beginning of March.
Dallas Baldri:March 4th.
Dallas Baldri:They start… they said, Hey, by the way, it's Kim Kardashian and,
Dallas Baldri:we're filming basically in two weeks.
Dallas Baldri:Get ready.
Scott Leese:Wow.
Rylee Baldri:She's seen all your interviews.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah, she was a part of it from the beginning.
Scott Leese:You had two weeks to mentally prepare.
Scott Leese:But that you're like on the show, filming's gonna start.
Scott Leese:You like, I got
Dallas Baldri:Roughly.
Rylee Baldri:No, October they did say… So they
Dallas Baldri:It would be in the beginning of the year.
Mike Lindstrom:Sure.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:But just, yeah.
Rylee Baldri:But they said January.
Rylee Baldri:And so January came and we're like
Dallas Baldri:Nothing happened.
Mike Lindstrom:Nothing.
Rylee Baldri:Nothing's going on.
Rylee Baldri:And then February, they said February and then nothing happened.
Rylee Baldri:And then they're like, okay, we're for sure starting in March.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:Because that was the beginning of the
Mike Lindstrom:season.
Mike Lindstrom:So did the school, were they kind of the anchor first and then the families?
Mike Lindstrom:Or were the families the anchor and then the school?
Mike Lindstrom:How'd that
Mike Lindstrom:- Rylee Baldri: I think that it was the families and they became
Mike Lindstrom:intrigued with the school.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Mike Lindstrom:So it had nothing to do, like they didn't call the school and say, "Hey,
Mike Lindstrom:we're gonna find five families at your school. We wanna do it here."
Mike Lindstrom:It was more about the families.
Rylee Baldri:It's my understanding that it was based off of one family.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, gotcha.
Rylee Baldri:And then when they found out about the facility, they were like
Dallas Baldri:It was perfect.
Rylee Baldri:This is
Mike Lindstrom:Gotcha.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Like, yeah.
Dallas Baldri:It just fit perfect.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Cause they were looking all over the country at different places.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:But I thought, I think they found this was like a perfect scenario.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And then they wanted families at the school, obviously.
Rylee Baldri:I mean, the facility is incredible.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, yeah.
Rylee Baldri:You walk in and you're just like, "Holy cow."
Mike Lindstrom:So how did you guys get tied with the school?
Mike Lindstrom:How'd that happen?
Rylee Baldri:So we've been, day oners.
Mike Lindstrom:Oh, wow.
Rylee Baldri:yes.
Dallas Baldri:OGs, yep.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:We had, we followed a couple of other baseball players.
Rylee Baldri:you get to know people in the valley and
Mike Lindstrom:Of course.
Rylee Baldri:Really good players.
Rylee Baldri:And he was friends, with a lot of the dads and stuff.
Rylee Baldri:And he saw that one of his friends
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: Had posted.
Rylee Baldri:…had posted about it.
Rylee Baldri:And we were like,
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Ok.
Rylee Baldri:…"What is this?" And we
Dallas Baldri:We went in
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: …showed Salvatore and we said, Do you wanna go
Dallas Baldri:check it out?" And he's like,
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah."
Rylee Baldri:We walk in.
Rylee Baldri:I'm like, There's no way he's not gonna wanna go to the school.
Dallas Baldri:you wanna go to this?"
Rylee Baldri:Like, we know what we just did.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:We, we had no choice.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:There was no choice once we went there.
Mike Lindstrom:Does he play baseball and other sports, you say?
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:So baseball's his main sport, we'll say, but he's an athlete first.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Dallas Baldri:So he just finished up soccer.
Dallas Baldri:He was all state junior high in soccer.
Mike Lindstrom:That's great.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:he plays basketball very good.
Dallas Baldri:He'll say basketball's his second sport.
Dallas Baldri:He played football up until this year.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:and then trains with track.
Dallas Baldri:We have him starting to do that because our daughter is a
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:National track star as well.
Dallas Baldri:And track's great for any sport.
Dallas Baldri:Oh
Mike Lindstrom:yeah.
Dallas Baldri:It translates.
Dallas Baldri:And so we keep him focused on being an athlete first, but baseball's
Dallas Baldri:his big dreams, his goals.
Rylee Baldri:Well, he chooses.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:He really chooses.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:he chooses to, he wants to do.
Rylee Baldri:When he has downtime, he doesn't know how to chill.
Mike Lindstrom:yeah.
Rylee Baldri:He's like, I want, can we do this?
Rylee Baldri:Can we do that?" I'm more like, Don't you just wanna chill and
Dallas Baldri:He's trying to take up golf.
Rylee Baldri:For my sake, because I
Mike Lindstrom:Oh yeah?
Dallas Baldri:Cause my stepdad's a big golfer.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:[laughing]
Rylee Baldri:Now he started golfing.
Rylee Baldri:I'm just like, for my sake
Dallas Baldri:He wanted to
Rylee Baldri:box for a while.
Rylee Baldri:So because I'm the taxi driver
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Rylee Baldri:Can we chill for a minute?
Rylee Baldri:But no.
Mike Lindstrom:So interesting, you said that you know this one speed, 150%
Rylee Baldri:Uh-huh.
Mike Lindstrom:Because that's what you were taught.
Mike Lindstrom:Yes.
Mike Lindstrom:So I did, I've watched the episodes.
Mike Lindstrom:And Scott had, we had, we both have two sons that have, been athletes.
Mike Lindstrom:And we talk about how much do you push, how much do you not?
Mike Lindstrom:And we actually, he had a conversation with his son and your son said to you
Scott Leese:Yeah, I actually, we were having a conversation and I
Scott Leese:said, Hey, do you think I pushed you too hard or did I not push you
Scott Leese:hard enough?" And my son actually said, "I wish you pushed me harder."
Dallas Baldri:Hmm.
Scott Leese:And I was like
Mike Lindstrom:Which is surprising.
Dallas Baldri:We had that.
Mike Lindstrom:And it's like, wow.
Rylee Baldri:You know why?
Scott Leese:And then I thought I blame his mom.
Rylee Baldri:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:How old?
Mike Lindstrom:[laughing]
Rylee Baldri:Of course.
Rylee Baldri:[everyone laughing]
Dallas Baldri:That's a good one!
Scott Leese:I have two boys.
Scott Leese:One's 18 and one's 16.
Rylee Baldri:Okay.
Scott Leese:This is the 16-year-old that I'm talking about.
Scott Leese:And, and this conversation was maybe a year ago, so he was maybe 15 at the time.
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:With that being said, that's exactly why we are the way we are today,
Rylee Baldri:because of our oldest were guinea pigs.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And my
Dallas Baldri:We were young parents.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Rylee Baldri:And my son tells me now.
Dallas Baldri:He grew up with him.
Rylee Baldri:I wish that I would've listened to you.
Mike Lindstrom:Mm.
Rylee Baldri:And that breaks my heart because I'm like, I wish
Rylee Baldri:I would've pushed you harder
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:…because
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: We just did wanna battle.
Rylee Baldri:…you just don't know what you don't know.
Mike Lindstrom:That's right.
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:I think I'm so thankful that Salvatore actually hasn't had
Rylee Baldri:the same, issues that my older son.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:We've done a better job at protecting that.
Dallas Baldri:Sure.
Rylee Baldri:because you wanna protect your kids when they have
Rylee Baldri:like a gift and you wanna protect who they're surrounded by, right?
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Like good coaches.
Mike Lindstrom:That's right.
Rylee Baldri:Good.
Rylee Baldri:Like and that is something that we
Dallas Baldri:Insulate them with great people.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Same mindset.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:So I think because of the first experience that made my son
Rylee Baldri:hate his sport, we learned we need to be more protective of who we allow.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:You, you learn a lot.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:I think for me, I mean, I'm 53, my dad's in his mid 70s, and he grew
Mike Lindstrom:up very, middle, lower middle class.
Mike Lindstrom:That's the way they grew up.
Mike Lindstrom:And he was that same way.
Mike Lindstrom:He didn't go to college.
Mike Lindstrom:if I ever lied or stepped on the line, I got spanked.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Every once in a while it only took me two or three times to
Mike Lindstrom:figure out that I didn't want that.
Dallas Baldri:Mm-hmm.
Mike Lindstrom:That's just how I was brought up.
Mike Lindstrom:I coach and I work with a lot of, parents in the executive world coaching.
Mike Lindstrom:And I think a lot of parents become soft.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:and it's they're worried about what everyone thinks,
Mike Lindstrom:and then social media exacerbates it.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:And now And the feelings now you're on a
Mike Lindstrom:reality show on top of that.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:So when you're sitting there, for example, in the episode where
Mike Lindstrom:you're saying, "Hey, we're gonna be on this spring break trip in Sedona," and
Mike Lindstrom:we're like, "No, I'm gonna go take my son.
Mike Lindstrom:We're gonna go hit some balls."
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:And the other families are like, [blows raspberry]
Mike Lindstrom:What's that about?" Like,
Mike Lindstrom:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:…let the kid be a kid." How do you toggle that though?
Mike Lindstrom:Like you, you wanna be the one that's gonna press.
Mike Lindstrom:You don't want
Mike Lindstrom:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:…maybe that situation where your kid's coming back to you
Mike Lindstrom:later in life going, "Gosh, dad, I wish he would've pushed me harder."
Mike Lindstrom:how do you guys talk about that?
Mike Lindstrom:Or what's your coaching belief about that with kids?
Rylee Baldri:So I think we're both gonna have two different answers, and
Rylee Baldri:I'm gonna go first, if you don't mind.
Dallas Baldri:Sure.
Rylee Baldri:there's been comments made, one that just sticks out in my head.
Rylee Baldri:This guy said, My son, wanted to be in, in the NHL." And I said, "Hell no.
Rylee Baldri:You're going to college." And I'm like
Dallas Baldri:You're not gonna make it.
Rylee Baldri:You're t you're telling me I'm the worst parent in the world because
Rylee Baldri:I wanna provide every outlet for my kid to get the goal that he wants in life.
Rylee Baldri:And you told your son, "no, sorry, you're going to college." Can
Rylee Baldri:you imagine how that kid feels?
Rylee Baldri:I will never be that parent.
Rylee Baldri:And what you see in the show is me saying there will be sacrifices.
Mike Lindstrom:Right.
Rylee Baldri:And that's what I'm teaching my kid.
Rylee Baldri:When you make… It's not that my sacrifice, I didn't commit to the sport.
Rylee Baldri:You committed to the sport.
Rylee Baldri:So therefore it comes with sacrifices because you decided to make
Rylee Baldri:that decision and I'm gonna make sure you follow through with it.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Rylee Baldri:Because it just teaches so many lessons throughout life.
Rylee Baldri:And, I'm not gonna let him… I don't want him to be like a quitter.
Dallas Baldri:It's so easy to give up when, or when you
Dallas Baldri:don't feel like doing something.
Rylee Baldri:Exactly.
Rylee Baldri:And I tell my kids, like, the easy thing to do is what everybody else is doing.
Rylee Baldri:That's easy.
Rylee Baldri:it's hard being a leader, being a standup citizen.
Dallas Baldri:Being different.
Rylee Baldri:Being a good person.
Rylee Baldri:Being different, showing up to work because you have a goal.
Rylee Baldri:That is hard.
Rylee Baldri:And so for me, when I'm talking about that scene and I'm
Rylee Baldri:saying there will be sacrifices
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: uh-huh.
Rylee Baldri:It's because to me, it's important that we instill in our
Rylee Baldri:kids when you've made a commitment, you're gonna follow through with it.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And I'm gonna make sure of it.
Dallas Baldri:And, and we are different, and I'm okay with that.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:You know, the negative comments, so to say, are
Dallas Baldri:people that don't relate to us.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And I'm fine being unrelatable because to be successful,
Dallas Baldri:whether it's sports, business, whatever it is you wanna do, you wanna be the best pod
Dallas Baldri:I mean, there's sacrifices, like she said.
Dallas Baldri:You gotta do things even when you don't feel like doing it.
Dallas Baldri:You have to make commitments, stick with it.
Dallas Baldri:You have to have a consistency.
Dallas Baldri:All those things.
Dallas Baldri:We use sports, as like she said, so he can be the best husband,
Dallas Baldri:father, business guy, whatever.
Dallas Baldri:Yes, will he make it to the MLB?
Dallas Baldri:We believe so because we also believe in you can't achieve
Dallas Baldri:it if you don't believe it.
Mike Lindstrom:I agree.
Dallas Baldri:If you don't speak it, it's not gonna happen.
Dallas Baldri:So you can call us delusional and crazy and bad parents, whatever, but
Dallas Baldri:we're doing what I know successful people do because I've been fortunate
Dallas Baldri:to have great, successful people who have done much better than us
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Who have, who have kinda mentored and guided me.
Scott Leese:The thing, one thing is that, that people put their own… They project.
Dallas Baldri:Oh, big time.
Scott Leese:And, and so, you know, they, that's, this comment
Scott Leese:you're talking about, that person is squashing somebody else's dream
Dallas Baldri:Their own kid.
Scott Leese:Without - their own kid's dream without even
Scott Leese:giving it a chance to breathe.
Mike Lindstrom:Mm-hmm.
Scott Leese:And, and the… I think the projection is like,
Scott Leese:this is not your son's dream.
Scott Leese:This is your
Scott Leese:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah.
Scott Leese:…dream.
Scott Leese:And they think that it's like
Scott Leese:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah.
Scott Leese:…y'all pushing it.
Scott Leese:But they're not with you
Scott Leese:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah.
Scott Leese:…365 days a year that God knows how many conversations
Scott Leese:you've had with your kids.
Dallas Baldri:Mm-hmm.
Scott Leese:All of them, but Sal in particular about how
Scott Leese:bad do you actually want this?
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:Do you really wanna play or not play?
Scott Leese:Or when he's coming to you and saying, I'm so bored, can we go hit
Scott Leese:the ball or can we go play catch or whatever?" Like, they don't see that.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Scott Leese:And they're not gonna put that on TV really.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:Cause he doesn't get the right soundbite.
Rylee Baldri:Even opposite when he doesn't wanna hit and we suggest, "Hey,
Rylee Baldri:buddy, you got a tournament this weekend. You should go hit." We don't force it.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:If he chooses not to and then he shows up that weekend and he's
Rylee Baldri:not doing well at hitting, we're like
Scott Leese:Yep.
Mike Lindstrom:Told you so.
Scott Leese:Natural consequences.
Rylee Baldri:This is what happens
Rylee Baldri:- Scott Leese: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:…and this is why we do it.
Rylee Baldri:And I do wanna add, you asked, like, how do we
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Toggle with dealing with people who don't understand.
Rylee Baldri:We usually surround ourselves with people who do understand.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And so this
Dallas Baldri:The show is unique.
Rylee Baldri:The show is unique because it's not everyone
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: Our normal crew.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:…has the same mentality that we do.
Mike Lindstrom:So I think that's the misconception that
Mike Lindstrom:people have of reality shows.
Mike Lindstrom:So when I was talking about Housewives of Orange County, Vicki Gunvalson does not
Mike Lindstrom:hang out with those people all the time.
Mike Lindstrom:I mean, professional acquaintances is what they are.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:They're not best friends.
Rylee Baldri:It's work.
Mike Lindstrom:They don't go sit there and have cocktails every Thursday
Mike Lindstrom:and Friday and talk about life.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:This is work.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:So I think that's when you watch the show, you can see like
Mike Lindstrom:the, the forced, you're in this one home in Sedona, everyone's together.
Mike Lindstrom:I'm like, I, I don't even know if I would go hang out with five or six people.
Scott Leese:They force conflict.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And you know on the kayak scene, here's something interesting.
Dallas Baldri:So first off, oh, you have your, it's your dream.
Dallas Baldri:I, I was a, I like basketball.
Dallas Baldri:That was my sport and she didn't play baseball.
Dallas Baldri:This is my son's dream.
Rylee Baldri:My dream's to be on the beach, FYI.
Rylee Baldri:[everyone laughing]
Dallas Baldri:She was just saying, Hey, when are we going to the beach?
Dallas Baldri:But I just posted my son's journal that I found eight years old.
Dallas Baldri:"My name is Salvatore James Saldutti Baldri. I'm eight years old and I'm
Dallas Baldri:going to be the greatest baseball player in history. I wanna be the number
Dallas Baldri:one." this is him riding on his own.
Dallas Baldri:That's great.
Dallas Baldri:This is his goal.
Dallas Baldri:Love it.
Dallas Baldri:But I'm not having him go out and dig ditches.
Dallas Baldri:This is a game he's playing, right?
Dallas Baldri:This is something fun where if he does reach it to the pros or
Dallas Baldri:makes money with it, he's literally getting paid to play a game, right?
Rylee Baldri:That he loves.
Dallas Baldri:that's a good thing.
Dallas Baldri:And then on the kayaking, we would've let him do it, except for
Dallas Baldri:two days before a big tournament.
Rylee Baldri:We did let him do it.
Dallas Baldri:95 degrees.
Dallas Baldri:Like all the things that go against what we normally would do, that was the reason.
Dallas Baldri:He ended up getting to do half and half, which was the best of both worlds.
Mike Lindstrom:yeah.
Dallas Baldri:But the one asterisk is he did not wanna go.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:It wasn't until we got there and then he saw
Dallas Baldri:his buddies like, "Well, maybe I do…" He was dead set on dead.
Dallas Baldri:I'm not going kayaking.
Dallas Baldri:I got a tournament.
Rylee Baldri:He did say
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:…he's very conscious of dangerous things that he could
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: sure.
Rylee Baldri:…get hurt.
Rylee Baldri:And so he's like, If it's dangerous and it, the waters
Rylee Baldri:are crazy, I don't want it."
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And so he is conscious of that and he's like, I don't wanna not
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Be able to play this weekend."
Mike Lindstrom:And the daughters did wanna go kayaking.
Rylee Baldri:Oh yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And she shouldn't have.
Dallas Baldri:The older one, Sophia, she's track freshman.
Rylee Baldri:She wants to do everything.
Dallas Baldri:She's a daredevil.
Dallas Baldri:She had a quad injury that kept her out.
Dallas Baldri:She had the Nike Rotary, the biggest one.
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Dallas Baldri:And she was hoping to get healthy for it.
Dallas Baldri:It was in two days.
Dallas Baldri:And I'm thinking like, I'm not a kayaker, but you're doing this stuff.
Dallas Baldri:I know when you do something that you don't normally do, you feel it
Dallas Baldri:for the next two, three, four days.
Scott Leese:Yeah, you're gonna be sore.
Dallas Baldri:Maybe because I'm an old guy, but
Dallas Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: I get sore from bowling, man.
Dallas Baldri:[everyone laughing] My bi my biceps hurt after bowling.
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:So she was trying to get healthy for this race.
Dallas Baldri:I'm like, "You can't go kayaking. that's craz- you can tweak."
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:So I think I had some validity there.
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:But at the end of the day, she went, Stella went,
Dallas Baldri:and Sal gotta go and do both.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, it turned out fine, but they, again, creative editing.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:They get the angle of Sal looking disappointed
Mike Lindstrom:and they show the daughters.
Scott Leese:oh man.
Scott Leese:You been around, you've been around parents in lots of different sports.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Scott Leese:I, I played baseball, basketball, soccer, and tennis.
Dallas Baldri:Okay.
Scott Leese:Up through high school.
Scott Leese:I played two sports in college.
Dallas Baldri:Wow.
Scott Leese:And I've, I was there.
Scott Leese:I've done the thing with my kids where I had two baseball games in the
Scott Leese:morning, a soccer game in the afternoon
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:And three basketball games at night all in one day.
Dallas Baldri:Yep.
Scott Leese:And then you go do it again on Sunday, and depending on how they do
Scott Leese:- Dallas Baldri: It's your life.
Mike Lindstrom:Mm-hmm.
Scott Leese:I might be there till 10pm, 11 p.m. I've done all
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:Done all of that.
Scott Leese:my question is, for you all, which set of parents, as it pertains to which sport,
Scott Leese:are the most wacky and the most bonkers?
Scott Leese:You think about
Scott Leese:- Mike Lindstrom: Of all sports.
Scott Leese:…baseball parents
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:Versus soccer parents versus basketball parents.
Scott Leese:Versus hockey versus…
Dallas Baldri:So we don't have the hockey experience.
Dallas Baldri:We've heard a lot about that.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Even though Sal did say
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: Hockey does sound fun.
Dallas Baldri:…he wanted to play hockey one year, and I'm like,
Dallas Baldri:Okay, sure." But they made him do the learn how to skate first.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:He was like, "I wanna play hockey. They're… Teach me how to…
Dallas Baldri:Well, you gotta learn how to skate."
Scott Leese:That is a part of hockey.
Mike Lindstrom:That's a big deal.
Dallas Baldri:But, I would say, maybe because we're around it the most.
Dallas Baldri:I think baseball
Rylee Baldri:Baseball.
Dallas Baldri:and it's the younger
Rylee Baldri:Baseball's the only sport that I've seen a dad's, artery
Rylee Baldri:look like it was about to burst.
Dallas Baldri:But it was the younger kids, not even like the 14, 15-year-olds.
Rylee Baldri:Losing his mind.
Scott Leese:That's usually, like the 8U.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Yes!
Scott Leese:8U.
Dallas Baldri:That's the craziest
Scott Leese:8U parents
Rylee Baldri:it was.
Scott Leese:In baseball are like, the nuttiest.
Rylee Baldri:We had this one team that used to taunt the heck out of our team.
Rylee Baldri:they were just known.
Rylee Baldri:They were from… Where are they from?
Rylee Baldri:Area.
Dallas Baldri:Was it, Tucson?
Rylee Baldri:Oh, gosh.
Dallas Baldri:Tucson was fr
Rylee Baldri:You remember the screamers, like the
Dallas Baldri:Oh,
Rylee Baldri:yeah.
Dallas Baldri:That's I think it was Cave Creek, I think.
Rylee Baldri:The coaches?
Rylee Baldri:no.
Rylee Baldri:It was not Cave Creek.
Rylee Baldri:It was somewhere, West.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:But they would
Dallas Baldri:go Glendale or Peoria.
Rylee Baldri:Their mouths were really bad, but they would scream.
Rylee Baldri:They would yell.
Rylee Baldri:Oh, my gosh.
Rylee Baldri:They would bang cans, stuff against the fence.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Like, really try to intimidate the kids.
Dallas Baldri:Taunt the kids.
Rylee Baldri:It would get really bad.
Rylee Baldri:Parents were screaming that we didn't ever join in on that.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:I think one day I did have a beer, and I think I might
Rylee Baldri:have yelled out because they said something about Sal and I'm like, "That
Rylee Baldri:wasn't an even call or something."
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Rylee Baldri:But I never… I actually… They scared me
Rylee Baldri:a little bit because they were
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Oh yeah.
Rylee Baldri:…so aggressive, but
Mike Lindstrom:that's a challenge.
Mike Lindstrom:We have these beautiful parks.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:And these, these big facilities where there's like four
Mike Lindstrom:or five diamonds right in the middle.
Mike Lindstrom:Guess
Mike Lindstrom:- Scott Leese: It's the same
Mike Lindstrom:what's in the middle?
Mike Lindstrom:A bar.
Scott Leese:…same in Texas.
Mike Lindstrom:A bar, bro.
Dallas Baldri:And you're there all day.
Scott Leese:Right.
Mike Lindstrom:We're partying it up.
Scott Leese:And it's 100 degrees.
Dallas Baldri:7:00am until 10:00pm.
Rylee Baldri:It was Mother's Day.
Rylee Baldri:That's why I had a drink that day, because it was a Mother Day weekend.
Rylee Baldri:It's like
Dallas Baldri:Happy Mother's Day.
Dallas Baldri:You're spending the day at the field.
Rylee Baldri:The bars at the thing.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Rylee Baldri:And that's normally actually something we don't join in on.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Special occasion.
Dallas Baldri:She earned it.
Scott Leese:I mean, it's a pretty terrible idea when you think about it.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:You, you get
Scott Leese:- Mike Lindstrom: Oh, It's stupid.
Scott Leese:…thousands of people who are competitively charged up.
Dallas Baldri:but you notice that
Dallas Baldri:- Scott Leese: …around kids
Dallas Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: at those types of fields
Dallas Baldri:- Scott Leese: …this is a bad idea.
Dallas Baldri:Come nighttime when it's like, the, the bracket play where you
Dallas Baldri:can play three games in a day, it's much louder, much in more interesting
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:…because people are feeling nice.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:So it can, it definitely can be interesting.
Rylee Baldri:I think that team too, the coach was drinking and
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: What?
Dallas Baldri:Oh yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Oh,
Mike Lindstrom:that's against the rules.
Dallas Baldri:I know what team you talking about.
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Dallas Baldri:I won't mention
Scott Leese:a little bit of Wild west.
Dallas Baldri:We won't mention the team.
Dallas Baldri:But, yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:All right.
Dallas Baldri:I, I'm 90% sure.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:I forgot about that.
Rylee Baldri:The coach was drinking.
Dallas Baldri:That was 9U.
Dallas Baldri:9U.
Mike Lindstrom:Wow!
Rylee Baldri:9U.
Mike Lindstrom:Golly, party it up.
Rylee Baldri:Their team was really good though.
Scott Leese:8U, 9U, it's like, that's where the most chaos is.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:so how has this affected your business life?
Mike Lindstrom:you're an entrepreneur.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:You, you got a brand out there.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:How's this impacting that?
Dallas Baldri:for us, it's been good.
Dallas Baldri:Yes.
Dallas Baldri:So we struggled a little bit where, with the negativity, right?
Dallas Baldri:And, and we've always had some negativity, but it's been much more
Dallas Baldri:positive because, you know, one of the things we've done, we, we
Dallas Baldri:surround ourselves with entrepreneurs
Dallas Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:…business owners
Rylee Baldri:Everyone we do business with is someone we've
Rylee Baldri:been, we've known for years.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And, and, and we've been through ups and downs.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Trust me, we've learned
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:…who not to do [business] with.
Dallas Baldri:It's caused it.
Dallas Baldri:But with this
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: I think this has been really good for us.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:That's great.
Rylee Baldri:Business-wise, it's been amazing.
Rylee Baldri:I think it's more… It's harder mentally.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:because we were, we're the kind of parents
Rylee Baldri:that just stick to ourselves.
Mike Lindstrom:Mm-hmm.
Rylee Baldri:And so really, putting ourselves out there
Rylee Baldri:and putting our lives on blast.
Rylee Baldri:I, I expected it, but I though I would be stronger
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:If I were to be honest.
Mike Lindstrom:So what about social media?
Mike Lindstrom:Do you read the comments?
Rylee Baldri:I do read the comments.
Scott Leese:That's the worst thing you could do.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Can't do
Scott Leese:it.
Rylee Baldri:I actually have stopped.
Dallas Baldri:I stop mostly because it's just, it's the same stuff.
Mike Lindstrom:Don't read them.
Dallas Baldri:After three, four days, it's like the same stuff.
Dallas Baldri:You're the worst people, you're this, you're that.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:I, I have somewhat significant following on a couple
Scott Leese:different social media platforms and a long, long time ago, somebody
Scott Leese:said, "Never read the comments."
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:it's hard though at first because all of a sudden It is.
Dallas Baldri:your comments are maybe 50 times, like it's cra everywhere you look, in the,
Dallas Baldri:the feeds, it's you being talked about.
Dallas Baldri:But, I got some advice from some people that, very high level people in the public
Dallas Baldri:and they all said the same thing, the old adage, "All publicity is good publicity."
Mike Lindstrom:It is.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:I agree with that.
Dallas Baldri:Just, you're never gonna reach the next
Dallas Baldri:level unless you can embrace it.
Dallas Baldri:But what about this?
Dallas Baldri:What about that?
Dallas Baldri:Love it.
Scott Leese:Does that mean the wines, the wine sales are growing a little bit?
Dallas Baldri:Hey, the wine is, the wine is gonna be huge and I'm excited about
Dallas Baldri:that because that's something that we
Scott Leese:That's great.
Dallas Baldri:It's been a
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: It's been a hobby.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:A 10 year project.
Rylee Baldri:It's more of a hobby for
Dallas Baldri:us.
Dallas Baldri:But w e've held it off to release it officially until the show.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:Now you got time, you have momentum.
Dallas Baldri:So we understand business a little bit.
Mike Lindstrom:Of course.
Dallas Baldri:So yes.
Mike Lindstrom:I saw where you were going with that.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:It's smart!
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:I held it off knowing the show was gonna be filmed.
Dallas Baldri:I'm like, "We waited this long."
Rylee Baldri:what I love about the producers is they
Rylee Baldri:actually wanted to include it.
Rylee Baldri:And they're like
Mike Lindstrom:And that's what I was gonna tell you.
Mike Lindstrom:Kudos to that because I know a lot of my reality show friends that are,
Mike Lindstrom:they have certain things they're not allowed to promote at all.
Scott Leese:Can you tell everybody about the brand real quick?
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:so it's called Collezioni Divini, collection of wine.
Dallas Baldri:It's pretty simple.
Dallas Baldri:But the reason being is, so without giving you the two hour version that
Dallas Baldri:they portrayed me giving on there
Dallas Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:…at my wine experience.
Mike Lindstrom:I saw it, I saw that.
Dallas Baldri:I'll give you the condensed version.
Rylee Baldri:Oh my gosh.
Dallas Baldri:my grandfather was my best friend in the world.
Dallas Baldri:I named my son after him.
Dallas Baldri:His name is Salvatore Saldutti, my mother's father.
Dallas Baldri:We did genealogy back 20- something years ago, went back to our village.
Dallas Baldri:There was no Google Maps.
Dallas Baldri:It was up in the mountains.
Dallas Baldri:Went there, found old relatives, all this stuff.
Rylee Baldri:I just wanna clarify.
Rylee Baldri:When he says "our village", he doesn't
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: We don't mean we own it.
Rylee Baldri:We own the village.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah,
Dallas Baldri:because people say all they claim they
Rylee Baldri:The village is like a town.
Mike Lindstrom:Oh yeah, of course.
Dallas Baldri:1800 people.
Rylee Baldri:It's like saying "my town".
Scott Leese:Yeah,
Mike Lindstrom:I got it, i totally get it.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And
Dallas Baldri:- Scott Leese: I didn't take it that way.
Mike Lindstrom:No, not at all.
Dallas Baldri:Some people do.
Dallas Baldri:They said "he said he owns villages in Italy." Not yet.
Dallas Baldri:I would like to.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:- [laughing]
Dallas Baldri:…so
Dallas Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: [still laughing]
Dallas Baldri:…would go back there.
Dallas Baldri:Fast forward 2016, I brought the whole family.
Dallas Baldri:We actually documented the whole thing.
Dallas Baldri:I have a, a two, a one-year-old with us, a two-year-old.
Dallas Baldri:They were all little.
Dallas Baldri:And we went around all of Italy, but we went back into my villages
Dallas Baldri:in Irpinia, Southern Italy.
Dallas Baldri:it's about an hour and a half from Amalfi Coast.
Dallas Baldri:Most people know that.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:But it's up in the mountains, dirt roads, beautiful.
Dallas Baldri:and people kept saying, "Well, why are you here?" I said, "Oh,
Dallas Baldri:my family's from Avellino." "Best wine." I'm like, "Best wine?
Dallas Baldri:I thought that was Tuscany, Piedmont, whatever." Cause we drank wine, but
Dallas Baldri:not… So every time you go into somebody's place, it's do you want wine?
Dallas Baldri:They make their own.
Dallas Baldri:So she'd had an idea of we gotta get in the alcohol business.
Dallas Baldri:And she talked about that for years.
Rylee Baldri:Because it's
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: Well, we kind of put…
Scott Leese:Okay,
Dallas Baldri:wait, my family… So we're drinking the wine over there.
Dallas Baldri:We come back to the States.
Dallas Baldri:You go to Total Wine or wherever these huge… They don't have
Dallas Baldri:any wine from that region at all.
Dallas Baldri:So wait a second.
Rylee Baldri:They do, they do now, but they didn't at the time.
Dallas Baldri:Maybe like three or four.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:It wasn't very much.
Dallas Baldri:And so it was hard for us to drink the wine we would
Dallas Baldri:normally drink because it was so good.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:So we said, We need to bring… There's…
Dallas Baldri:It's supply and demand."
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Dallas Baldri:Some of the best wine in Italy, which is the best in the world.
Dallas Baldri:Not here.
Dallas Baldri:Let's do this."
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:But we had other stuff going on, didn't really pursue it.
Dallas Baldri:COVID, we went back, shut down pretty much all of my businesses across the board.
Dallas Baldri:I was doing a lot in Asia, Latin America.
Dallas Baldri:We went to Italy and that's when we decided, hey, this is a recession proof,
Dallas Baldri:COVID proof, whatever proof business.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:We need to act on it.
Dallas Baldri:And so by this time we'd been to Italy enough times in my villages.
Dallas Baldri:We knew who the… We're friends with the producers.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:When… Also, when he says his villages,
Rylee Baldri:just because his family's from
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:A few different villages.
Dallas Baldri:Three different villages.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And you talk to the people there, you get to know them and they
Rylee Baldri:invite you in as if you're family.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And we actually, he still does have family.
Rylee Baldri:He's only third generation.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:So their biggest concern is they're phasing out.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Kids are leaving and no one's there to harvest.
Rylee Baldri:And so they're like, "Immigrants are gonna take over our town"
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:"So we need money." And so to us, we're like, "How can we help?"
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:How, how can we
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: like what can we do?
Dallas Baldri:And they're just like, "Bring more people."
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Dallas Baldri:So how do we bring the people to these villages?
Dallas Baldri:Well
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: By introducing
Dallas Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: …introduce the wine.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:So the real goal with the wine is bring the best wine, but
Dallas Baldri:share the experience and the story
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Where people want, when they go to Naples or when they
Dallas Baldri:go to Amalfi Coast or Sorrento where everybody goes, let's get them up an
Dallas Baldri:hour and a half into the mountains to experience the real Italy.
Scott Leese:Great to tourism there.
Dallas Baldri:Yes.
Dallas Baldri:You go back in time.
Dallas Baldri:It feels like you're
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: And we've actually, we've, we've sent a lot of people there.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:So the whole scene from the show
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:The wine was really more to share just a piece of our lives.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And it was more just to share like what we're passionate about.
Rylee Baldri:And not once did we try to sell anybody the wine.
Dallas Baldri:They actually asked if they could buy and
Dallas Baldri:said I'm not selling it to you.
Rylee Baldri:We said no.
Rylee Baldri:Like this is actually our collection because we only have 600 bottles
Rylee Baldri:made of this particular bottle.
Rylee Baldri:But this was just more to share because we were really open to the friendship.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:We were trying.
Rylee Baldri:So the reason why it made it look like… First
Rylee Baldri:of all, he is long-winded, okay?
Rylee Baldri:he's a businessman.
Rylee Baldri:He's this professional speaker.
Dallas Baldri:I'm detailed.
Dallas Baldri:Not long-winded.
Mike Lindstrom:[laughing]
Dallas Baldri:Detailed.
Rylee Baldri:He spoke on many stages.
Dallas Baldri:Sure.
Rylee Baldri:It's who he is, but it's also where his family's from.
Rylee Baldri:He's passionate about it.
Rylee Baldri:And here we are thinking like we're giving this heartfelt like
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Showing them and, and giving them a piece
Rylee Baldri:of our lives and it really got
Mike Lindstrom:they showed a scene where… Who's the gal that
Mike Lindstrom:you're explaining the wine to?
Mike Lindstrom:Who was the woman?
Dallas Baldri:Mel.
Mike Lindstrom:Huh?
Dallas Baldri:Melanie?
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:So she said, and they made it look like she was bored.
Mike Lindstrom:Like she was like
Dallas Baldri:Oh… no, Melanie liked it.
Dallas Baldri:It was probaly, Trina.
Rylee Baldri:Trina.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:They made it look like she, that he was sitting there talking
Mike Lindstrom:and talking and talking and she was bored.
Scott Leese:I think one.
Scott Leese:I'm excited to watch the show now.
Dallas Baldri:But I did.
Scott Leese:Compare and contrast what I know about y'all now
Scott Leese:to what I see on the show.
Mike Lindstrom:He's the opposite.
Mike Lindstrom:See, I always wanted to go out and watch the shows and then
Mike Lindstrom:do that and he's the opposite.
Mike Lindstrom:He'll go watch the shows, get to know you authentically and then watch the show.
Dallas Baldri:But in all fairness
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: I actually like the way you do it because I don't know if he
Dallas Baldri:had reservations when I walked in.
Dallas Baldri:[laughing]
Mike Lindstrom:No.
Mike Lindstrom:Nope, he did not.
Rylee Baldri:I'm just teasing.
Mike Lindstrom:No, no, not at all.
Dallas Baldri:But in all fairness to them when they came over, it wasn't a dinner.
Dallas Baldri:It was a wine experience.
Dallas Baldri:And what I tried to replicate is when we go back to the villages
Rylee Baldri:This is how they do it.
Dallas Baldri:This is what they do.
Dallas Baldri:You don't just drink it
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: You sit for hours and they're telling you this story.
Scott Leese:…cultural difference though as, as well, yeah.
Rylee Baldri:So different.
Scott Leese:It's hard to get people from here to adapt to that.
Dallas Baldri:…tried to replicate.
Dallas Baldri:And so after, how did it go?
Dallas Baldri:I think it went phenomenal.
Rylee Baldri:Like it was amazing.
Dallas Baldri:…everything about it.
Dallas Baldri:And then you see them and they're like, "I just wanted to drink."
Rylee Baldri:"That sucked."
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:"Why didn't they have more wines?"
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:"All we wanted to do was drink."
Dallas Baldri:I'm giving them samples because I actually opened up sample
Dallas Baldri:bottles I'd had of other future wines.
Dallas Baldri:So we released Salvatore, the first one.
Rylee Baldri:I mean, they drink $5 bottle of Costco Prosecco.
Rylee Baldri:We should have known that.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, you should have known.
Dallas Baldri:I should have done that
Dallas Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Gotta read your audience, man.
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Mike Lindstrom:They're over there drinking Two Buck Chuck.
Rylee Baldri:Yes!
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:It's like, come on, man.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:I opened up my samples of future wines we're gonna bring out after.
Dallas Baldri:I opened my high end one, three or four of those, and there's only 600 made.
Dallas Baldri:It's like
Dallas Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:That's my, that's one of my biggest regrets from the show.
Mike Lindstrom:let's talk about Sal.
Mike Lindstrom:how's this impacting him?
Mike Lindstrom:Now I'm gonna tell you this, full authenticity.
Mike Lindstrom:My son, 18 and 16, they watched the show.
Mike Lindstrom:And my 18-year-old goes, "Man, I wonder what that, the pressure
Mike Lindstrom:that kid must feel now." I'm like, Oh, that's a good point, right?
Mike Lindstrom:I never thought from that viewpoint." But he brought it up
Mike Lindstrom:as a teenager. I was like, "Dad, I wouldn't want, I wouldn't want that.
Mike Lindstrom:I wouldn't want people… I would go b going to high school." He goes
Mike Lindstrom:to Brophy, Brophy Prep, and people would be talking about him going,
Mike Lindstrom:"Hey, what's going on with Ray?
Mike Lindstrom:He struck out," or whatever.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:He goes, "I don't want that attention on me." He's
Mike Lindstrom:very much a introvert, by the way, so that, that explains part of it.
Mike Lindstrom:But I understood his point.
Mike Lindstrom:Speak to that a little bit.
Mike Lindstrom:Like, how's it impacting him in that regard?
Rylee Baldri:So we had… All of our kids wanted to do this, by the way.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Rylee Baldri:it was a family talk.
Rylee Baldri:It was not a parent talk.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Rylee Baldri:I was against it.
Rylee Baldri:I was a hard no for not doing this.
Rylee Baldri:And Salvi begged to do it.
Rylee Baldri:And the girls did too.
Rylee Baldri:They were like, "We can be on TV.
Rylee Baldri:Like
Rylee Baldri:-" Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:"It sounds amazing." And I know that even as much as we explained,
Rylee Baldri:I know they don't fully understand.
Rylee Baldri:They seem to be dealing with it really well.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:To be honest.
Rylee Baldri:And they… We really try to limit their online, them getting online.
Dallas Baldri:Exposure.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And, yeah, their online exposure and what they see.
Rylee Baldri:And we just… And honestly, I think we're all getting used to it and ignoring it.
Rylee Baldri:And Salvatore's probably the strongest and the wisest.
Rylee Baldri:And he's like, "Mom, who cares? We don't even know these people." Yes.
Dallas Baldri:He's built different though.
Mike Lindstrom:Good.
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:He is.
Rylee Baldri:We do have… Our three kids that we have together are… not
Rylee Baldri:just the three we have together.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:All of our kids are amazing.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Our oldest daughter is a nurse, and she's married to a
Rylee Baldri:fireman, and we have a grand baby.
Dallas Baldri:Yep.
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Rylee Baldri:And our son, he works, on base in Utah.
Rylee Baldri:they're doing well, you know?
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:but our three youngers are athletes.
Rylee Baldri:And so they have… They are just built different.
Dallas Baldri:Different mindset.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:They are so different than… They're so strong.
Rylee Baldri:Like, they're already getting so much heat.
Rylee Baldri:Like Salvatore, started putting himself online when he was about five years old.
Rylee Baldri:we were… When we were traveling
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:This first trip he was talking about, we woke up.
Rylee Baldri:We were… You know how you do those flights, and I think we
Rylee Baldri:took an, we had, like, a layover.
Rylee Baldri:It was a took 23 hours to get there.
Dallas Baldri:Wow.
Rylee Baldri:And, we woke up, he took one of our phones and built a YouTube channel.
Dallas Baldri:But we didn't… We, how we found out
Rylee Baldri:No idea.
Dallas Baldri:I got a notification, like, a week later.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:You have a subscriber.
Dallas Baldri:Salvatore James was his channel.
Dallas Baldri:I look, I go watch the video.
Rylee Baldri:He's five.
Dallas Baldri:And he's talking about how to make money as a kid.
Rylee Baldri:How fun
Dallas Baldri:And he's talking about sports.
Rylee Baldri:Yep.
Dallas Baldri:Bitcoin.
Dallas Baldri:This is almost 10 years ago, Bitcoin.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:A five or six-year-old talking about it.
Rylee Baldri:He'll buy bitcoin.
Dallas Baldri:To buy stuff, sell stuff.
Dallas Baldri:He's watching Gary Vaynerchuk.
Scott Leese:I think that kid's gonna be just fine.
Mike Lindstrom:GaryV.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Scott Leese:I think that kid's gonna be just fine.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, he'll be fine.
Dallas Baldri:So, so with him, he's built different.
Dallas Baldri:He's been doing this,
Rylee Baldri:All three of them are just…
Dallas Baldri:it kinda set him up where
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:This is nothing for him.
Dallas Baldri:He's had
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: He's already had online.
Dallas Baldri:…negative comments.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:He has kids reach out to him that are, like,
Rylee Baldri:talking crap, you know, about
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: …cuz you, you see his drip?
Rylee Baldri:he stands out.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, I like the drip.
Dallas Baldri:He's always been that way.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Love the drip.
Dallas Baldri:Eight years old, seven years old, same way.
Rylee Baldri:That's what I love about him is he's unapologetically him.
Mike Lindstrom:Yes.
Rylee Baldri:And he doesn't change for anybody.
Mike Lindstrom:Love it.
Rylee Baldri:And he shows up, and he carries himself
Rylee Baldri:very confidently, not cocky.
Rylee Baldri:He's the sweetest kid you'll ever meet.
Rylee Baldri:I have… He went to the school before LPA, and I still have moms calling me
Rylee Baldri:saying, "We miss Sal so much," because he was the kid who would stick up for
Rylee Baldri:the kids who were getting bullied or
Mike Lindstrom:Love it.
Rylee Baldri:and I… He's just a… He's an incredible kid.
Mike Lindstrom:So here's three tips on this one.
Mike Lindstrom:One's his and the other two are ones I borrowed.
Mike Lindstrom:So he loves the one haters.
Mike Lindstrom:Just push the clown face.
Mike Lindstrom:Clown face.
Dallas Baldri:I, I use that often.
Mike Lindstrom:Just do the clown face over and over.
Mike Lindstrom:He does it over and over and over.
Mike Lindstrom:It drives people crazy.
Dallas Baldri:Emoji.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:They don't even know how to respond to them.
Mike Lindstrom:They're like, "What do you mean clown face?"
Scott Leese:It agitates them more.
Dallas Baldri:And sometimes you do a double or triple one depending
Dallas Baldri:on how stupid their comment was.
Mike Lindstrom:So I ripped one from him.
Mike Lindstrom:The other one is, you say, "God bless you." And the other one
Mike Lindstrom:is, "Appreciate the feedback."
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Appreciate the feedback.
Rylee Baldri:Well, then you're onto something.
Mike Lindstrom:Hey, you do those two, it drives people crazy.
Scott Leese:The southern way to say it is "bless your heart."
Rylee Baldri:"Bless your heart."
Mike Lindstrom:"Bless your heart."
Dallas Baldri:That's a southern charm, right?
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:That is true.
Mike Lindstrom:That's the ultimate passive aggressive F you, right?
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:All right.
Mike Lindstrom:So I don't know if you can say this or not.
Mike Lindstrom:I know there's contracts involved with this.
Mike Lindstrom:So where do we sit here?
Mike Lindstrom:So we have season one in the can, eight episodes, discussions
Mike Lindstrom:about the next season.
Rylee Baldri:Nothing yet.
Mike Lindstrom:Nothing yet.
Rylee Baldri:We have no idea.
Rylee Baldri:And I keep saying as soon as I find out, I will let all of you know too.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:I mean, who knows?
Rylee Baldri:You might find out the same time we do, so…
Dallas Baldri:Did you watch the, all eight?
Mike Lindstrom:The final… I've waited for… I waited for the final one.
Mike Lindstrom:Haven watched the final one.
Dallas Baldri:Okay.
Dallas Baldri:So, so
Dallas Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: That's the only one I haven't seen.
Dallas Baldri:Seven.
Dallas Baldri:what I think is special about this show is you
Dallas Baldri:got Kim Kardashian, an icon.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Dallas Baldri:Paramount Plus, Huge, ITV, The Kings of Reality.
Dallas Baldri:You got those three together, right?
Dallas Baldri:And then with, as far as the audience, it's going to attract the reality people
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: uh-huh.
Dallas Baldri:…which it's done phenomenal on.
Mike Lindstrom:Yep.
Dallas Baldri:But it's also attracting a different audience of people who may watch
Dallas Baldri:it like us because of the sports aspect.
Mike Lindstrom:Mm-hmm.
Dallas Baldri:So I think it's really a perfect storm.
Dallas Baldri:And I'm seeing a lot of people say, "Hey, I watched the whole thing. I watched I
Dallas Baldri:need a season two. I need a season two."
Rylee Baldri:I need a season two.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:whether they're talking positive about us or not, they're still
Dallas Baldri:saying, "We need a season two." And my, one of my business partners, I'm like,
Dallas Baldri:he was on a trip for a couple weeks.
Dallas Baldri:He just got back, last week.
Dallas Baldri:He's like, "I'm gonna sit down and watch it with my kids, the first
Dallas Baldri:one. Okay, let me know. Let's talk about it as you're watching it."
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:3:00 AM, he says, "Just finished all eight." [laughing]
Dallas Baldri:He doesn't watch reality shows.
Dallas Baldri:So it's, that's what I'm seeing.
Rylee Baldri:He was pissed.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:He was mad.
Rylee Baldri:He's… I mean, our really good friends are like, "I'm so mad what they did."
Scott Leese:I'm sure people stick up for you that know you.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:So dude you can't give away eighth episode.
Dallas Baldri:Yes.
Mike Lindstrom:I don't know what happens.
Dallas Baldri:Okay.
Mike Lindstrom:I did this on purpose because I knew I
Mike Lindstrom:was gonna be interviewing.
Rylee Baldri:[laughing]
Mike Lindstrom:And I wanted to meet you all.
Mike Lindstrom:And then
Mike Lindstrom:- Rylee Baldri: I honestly can't remember.
Mike Lindstrom:Watch the final episode myself.
Rylee Baldri:Episode eight.
Scott Leese:Like who knows what they put in there?
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:So what, what… Oh, so the answer would
Mike Lindstrom:be though you would do it.
Mike Lindstrom:What about… I know you can't speak for the other
Mike Lindstrom:families, but do you get a sense that you don't need to name names either.
Mike Lindstrom:Is there a sense that all the, everybody's all in?
Mike Lindstrom:Is there anybody that has apprehension?
Mike Lindstrom:Again, you don't have to name names.
Dallas Baldri:I think a couple, might.
Mike Lindstrom:You talking about putting yourself out to the world.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:You, you literally can't read these comments
Mike Lindstrom:- Rylee Baldri: Hey, listen.
Mike Lindstrom:I've had family call me and just tell me how disgusted they are.
Mike Lindstrom:And I'm like, "You know what? I'm glad you revealed yourself now because…"
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Dallas Baldri:We've had friends remove themselves from
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:But it's a blessing.
Scott Leese:How serious people take it.
Dallas Baldri:But you know what?
Mike Lindstrom:It's entertainment.
Rylee Baldri:You know me.
Mike Lindstrom:It's entertainment.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And
Rylee Baldri:You know me.
Mike Lindstrom:Yes.
Dallas Baldri:But you know what?
Dallas Baldri:To me, that's a blessing because we, we really pride ourselves on
Dallas Baldri:trying to continue to surround ourselves with better people.
Rylee Baldri:Like, I'm so blessed with the new people
Rylee Baldri:that are coming into my life.
Rylee Baldri:I got a private tour of UCLA last weekend for
Dallas Baldri:Baseball, parent meeting.
Dallas Baldri:They invited her.
Rylee Baldri:And I was like, I wish Salvatore and Dallas could have been
Rylee Baldri:there with me, and they weren't.
Rylee Baldri:And I was like, for me, who's not even as, you know, like,
Rylee Baldri:I'm not into… I love baseball.
Dallas Baldri:Mm-hmm.
Rylee Baldri:I love watching my kids play baseball, but I'm not like Salvatore where
Rylee Baldri:he would be in heaven at this facility.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:I was in heaven at this facility, and I'm like,
Rylee Baldri:I just know he would've died.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:I if you don't like us from our portrayal on the show, then
Dallas Baldri:you weren't our friend to begin with.
Mike Lindstrom:That's right.
Dallas Baldri:and it's God's way of saying, "See you later."
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:cut the grass.
Rylee Baldri:Protecting.
Rylee Baldri:I've done a lot of prayers.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And it's bringing in great people.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Really great contacts we probably wouldn't have made.
Mike Lindstrom:So what about the, the other families?
Mike Lindstrom:because we already talked about this a little off camera.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:They're not maybe your best buddies and the
Mike Lindstrom:way it's a business relationship
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Like I mentioned earlier.
Mike Lindstrom:but do you still keep, keep in touch with them?
Mike Lindstrom:Like right now?
Mike Lindstrom:Do you talk to other families or?
Rylee Baldri:So we took the summer off.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:And we took a break.
Rylee Baldri:Focused on track?
Rylee Baldri:Focus on track with our daughter because she's high school.
Rylee Baldri:So she gets priority and Salvador loved having ti
Dallas Baldri:Played basketball.
Rylee Baldri:We traveled a lot because he, he did summer basketball
Rylee Baldri:and then we also traveled, so we were having fun at the same time too.
Rylee Baldri:All the
Dallas Baldri:Junior Olympics, Regional Olympics, New Balance Nationals.
Rylee Baldri:We went to LA.
Rylee Baldri:So we didn't really talk to anybody.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And then, I did go and do a promotional event at the Dodgers
Rylee Baldri:game, and all of us moms were there.
Mike Lindstrom:Did you throw out the first pitch?
Rylee Baldri:No.
Mike Lindstrom:No?
Rylee Baldri:I was so wanting to do that.
Dallas Baldri:I think the playoff… They were supposed to be on the
Dallas Baldri:field, but then because it was the game, one of the playoffs
Mike Lindstrom:Oh.
Dallas Baldri:So I guess it's different protocol.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Mike Lindstrom:who threw out the first pitch?
Mike Lindstrom:Do you remember?
Mike Lindstrom:They always… LA always gets Ice Cube
Mike Lindstrom:- Dallas Baldri: it's probably somebody pretty good.
Mike Lindstrom:Game one of the playoffs.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:…Snoop Dogg.
Mike Lindstrom:My friend, Andre Ethier, he played for the Dodgers.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:He's a friend of mine here locally.
Mike Lindstrom:Our kids go to Brophy together and he threw out first pitch last year
Mike Lindstrom:when the Yankees played Dodgers in LA and he threw out the first pitch.
Rylee Baldri:Oh, that's cool.
Mike Lindstrom:But they very much protect the playoffs.
Mike Lindstrom:Like they want
Mike Lindstrom:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Former alumni or whatever.
Mike Lindstrom:So what
Mike Lindstrom:- Rylee Baldri: I mean, hello, me, Team Moms.
Mike Lindstrom:[laughing]
Mike Lindstrom:So what other promos do you have?
Mike Lindstrom:Anything that's coming up that you're gonna be promoting where
Mike Lindstrom:you'll be together with anybody?
Mike Lindstrom:Do they have you marketing?
Mike Lindstrom:Are you just independently like this, doing the podcast on your own?
Rylee Baldri:Yep.
Rylee Baldri:Just, getting a lot of interview requests from
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:people and big people like you guys.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:Johnjay and Rich.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, that's great.
Rylee Baldri:Really influential people.
Rylee Baldri:We were on Good Morning Arizona.
Dallas Baldri:We did Yahoo Today about baseball style.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:They want Sal to be the cover story for style and youth baseball.
Mike Lindstrom:what are, what's the next step?
Mike Lindstrom:beyond the show.
Mike Lindstrom:you got the wine.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:There's gotta be some other ways you could
Mike Lindstrom:parlay the branding stuff.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah, for sure.
Dallas Baldri:So the wine was great and I timed it perfectly.
Dallas Baldri:So we're gonna be announcing that for, which restaurants
Dallas Baldri:we're gonna be putting that in.
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Dallas Baldri:And bringing out other wines that those people
Dallas Baldri:actually gotta try, sneak peak, over that long-winded deal.
Dallas Baldri:But our son's brand, our son S4, he has S4 Clothing.
Dallas Baldri:That featured heavily throughout the show.
Dallas Baldri:That's something he did on his own.
Rylee Baldri:He developed that when he was about eight years old.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Mike Lindstrom:Wow.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And so he wears, you know, the S4 sleeves, the shirts, the
Dallas Baldri:hoodies, and so that's on there.
Dallas Baldri:So he's, he's got that launching on S4 Clothing.
Rylee Baldri:For all the current news, you can find it out on
Dallas Baldri:so the hdfamily.tv, you'll find everything we do.
Dallas Baldri:and people ask us what is HD?
Dallas Baldri:It's not Harley Davidson.
Dallas Baldri:It's the high definition lifestyle, right?
Mike Lindstrom:Love it.
Dallas Baldri:And really all that is money, time, freedom,
Dallas Baldri:health, and knowledge, right?
Dallas Baldri:Those four components, no matter what you do, find those to upgrade your life
Dallas Baldri:and really live your dreams and goals.
Dallas Baldri:And so that's what we've always tried to set an example and do.
Dallas Baldri:but we have the Collezioni Divini Salvatore's coming out soon,
Dallas Baldri:so, so get on the list there.
Dallas Baldri:we have the HD Life, I started S. Saldutti & Co. Custom Suits.
Dallas Baldri:Three years ago, we did a test run.
Dallas Baldri:My suits have been the most talked about thing on TV, especially
Dallas Baldri:my white double-breasted that I wore in the main titles.
Dallas Baldri:So I said, "We gotta bring that back." we're bringing that back.
Dallas Baldri:That's on there.
Dallas Baldri:And then, Rylee has been, in process of starting a teeth and
Dallas Baldri:tanning place called Glow and Go.
Mike Lindstrom:That's great.
Dallas Baldri:thehdfamily.tv.
Dallas Baldri:You can find everything, follow the kids, follow us.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:So it has all the kids linked out.
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:So what are, what is something that we don't know about you that has,
Mike Lindstrom:that was not revealed in the show that you're willing to share with us?
Rylee Baldri:[laughing] Do you wanna go first?
Dallas Baldri:Mine's funny.
Dallas Baldri:I just though about it pulling in here, but it's…
Rylee Baldri:[laughing]
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah,
Dallas Baldri:I was just joking.
Dallas Baldri:I was like, Should I tell him I'm probably the best parallel parker in the country?"
Dallas Baldri:Those are from the days in South
Rylee Baldri:Philly.
Rylee Baldri:He was backing into spot and I'm like, You gonna hit the curb."
Rylee Baldri:He's like, Babe, I got this."
Mike Lindstrom:Parallel parking.
Mike Lindstrom:All right.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:that's, I've never shared that, but it… So in South Philly where I spent
Dallas Baldri:a lot of, a lot of time, you can't park.
Dallas Baldri:There's no parking.
Mike Lindstrom:I've been there.
Dallas Baldri:And so I'm so good at it.
Dallas Baldri:I could have my eyes closed, pull into the small spot, and I'm in.
Dallas Baldri:but other than that, there's… we're, we are who we are, right?
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:And we don't fall for… We don't try to fit in.
Dallas Baldri:we wanna be different because we want our kids to be in that top .003% or whatever
Dallas Baldri:they say to make the major leagues.
Dallas Baldri:That would be amazing, and I believe my son can make it.
Dallas Baldri:But guess what?
Dallas Baldri:If not in baseball, I want him to be in the top zero, zero
Rylee Baldri:Yes.
Dallas Baldri:3% of life as a father, as a business person.
Dallas Baldri:Whatever it is.
Dallas Baldri:All these skills and attributes
Scott Leese:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:They apply.
Scott Leese:Yep.
Mike Lindstrom:100 What would you say?
Rylee Baldri:I have two things to say.
Mike Lindstrom:Go.
Mike Lindstrom:I gotta hear it.
Rylee Baldri:I, my kids have their own goals and dreams, but I always say,
Rylee Baldri:and I've repeated this a few times, if Salvatore wanted to be Superman, I'm
Rylee Baldri:gonna make sure he becomes Superman.
Rylee Baldri:And that, as a mom, has always been my goal.
Rylee Baldri:And when we had kids, we said, whatever our kids dreams are,
Rylee Baldri:we just wanna make sure we're in a position that we can provide
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:…whatever opportunity we can.
Rylee Baldri:That's one thing.
Rylee Baldri:I love cooking.
Mike Lindstrom:Oh.
Dallas Baldri:The best cook.
Rylee Baldri:And we don't eat out.
Dallas Baldri:Any type of food.
Rylee Baldri:We rarely
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Wow.
Rylee Baldri:…eat out.
Rylee Baldri:I cook dinner every night for my kids.
Rylee Baldri:In fact
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: And the dogs.
Rylee Baldri:It's actually a co… And the dogs.
Rylee Baldri:I make the dogs food too.
Mike Lindstrom:Oh my gosh.
Rylee Baldri:But salvatore, all my kids, but mostly Sal because
Rylee Baldri:he's extremely healthy and he's very conscious of what he eats.
Rylee Baldri:He has me make his food.
Rylee Baldri:And I remember one time he showed up to the baseball game and the coach
Rylee Baldri:was like, "Dude, what are you eating? Like, you need to bring me some of
Rylee Baldri:that." Cause like, he has me make this lettuce wrap with like a whole thing.
Mike Lindstrom:Oh my gosh.
Rylee Baldri:And so
Rylee Baldri:- Dallas Baldri: We eat well.
Rylee Baldri:…that's what I, I love cooking.
Rylee Baldri:It's a passion of mine.
Rylee Baldri:He always has said, "You need to start a cooking channel." But I'm a messy cook,
Rylee Baldri:so I don't know if I want any cameras in there while I'm like stuff everywhere.
Mike Lindstrom:You gotta, you gotta parlay it.
Mike Lindstrom:You gotta parlay that.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:And so what do you, what kind of dogs do you have?
Rylee Baldri:Doodles, of course.
Mike Lindstrom:So you feed the dogs your own?
Rylee Baldri:Do you, do you, have you
Mike Lindstrom:No, I have wiener dogs.
Rylee Baldri:Okay.
Mike Lindstrom:And they get like the healthy stuff that I have to buy in the
Mike Lindstrom:bag, but I don't make them their food.
Rylee Baldri:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:So they're hypoallergenic dogs
Mike Lindstrom:Right.
Rylee Baldri:So I have to feed them because they're
Rylee Baldri:literally allergic to everything.
Dallas Baldri:She'll be making something so, smells so good.
Dallas Baldri:We'll say, "Is that for us?" No, it's for the dogs.
Mike Lindstrom:Oh my gosh.
Rylee Baldri:This is a funny story.
Rylee Baldri:My dog food inspired a dinner the other night and the kids
Rylee Baldri:were like, "Oh, we're eating dog food." I'm like, "Thanks, guys."
Mike Lindstrom:[laughing]
Rylee Baldri:It was just a meat mixed with a vegetable with some fried potatoes.
Rylee Baldri:It was good.
Rylee Baldri:Real good.
Rylee Baldri:Like just like a really comfort food.
Mike Lindstrom:So next time he comes into town, we're coming
Mike Lindstrom:to your house for dinner.
Rylee Baldri:You guys are than welcome.
Scott Leese:I'm in.
Rylee Baldri:Seriously?
Rylee Baldri:I'm in.
Scott Leese:I'll eat that dog food.
Mike Lindstrom:I'll eat that dog food.
Rylee Baldri:I actually, I would rather you guys come when he is cooking
Rylee Baldri:because he makes the best Italian food at
Dallas Baldri:Best meatballs in the world.
Rylee Baldri:He actually because it's Columbus Day today.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:I was cooking all night.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:He made gravy yesterday with these
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Wow.
Rylee Baldri:…amazing meatballs.
Dallas Baldri:And then I, I
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: We both love to cook, but he doesn't get much time.
Dallas Baldri:So it's during Christmas is usually my time on.
Dallas Baldri:So I'm usually cooking for the whole week of Christmas until about New
Dallas Baldri:Year's, and then it goes back to her.
Dallas Baldri:But I'm making every… We do seven fish on Christmas Eve.
Dallas Baldri:We do
Dallas Baldri:- Rylee Baldri: You guys are welcome to join us for Christmas.
Mike Lindstrom:Oh, man!
Dallas Baldri:Big Italian.
Mike Lindstrom:We'll take you up on it.
Dallas Baldri:All my extended family for Christmas Eve-Eve.
Dallas Baldri:It's just…
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:So that's really… I get a year's worth of cooking
Dallas Baldri:and in, in like two weeks.
Rylee Baldri:If we're still renting the house by then, you're definitely welcome.
Scott Leese:That's great.
Dallas Baldri:Or Airbnb.
Mike Lindstrom:What,
Mike Lindstrom:what other families should we make sure we need to talk to on the show?
Rylee Baldri:Just us.
Rylee Baldri:I mean
Rylee Baldri:- Scott Leese: [laughing]
Mike Lindstrom:No one else?
Dallas Baldri:you started with the best.
Dallas Baldri:It's kinda hard to go from there.
Mike Lindstrom:I know You guys raised the bar.
Rylee Baldri:I think Mel and John.
Mike Lindstrom:Mel and John,
Dallas Baldri:yeah.
Rylee Baldri:I don't think they're heard enough.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:Honestly.
Mike Lindstrom:What about the Mears?
Mike Lindstrom:What do you know about them?
Rylee Baldri:lovely people.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Casey, Casey's an icon.
Mike Lindstrom:And they've nothing… They… I don't remember which mutual friend, but that
Mike Lindstrom:she said, the mom did, that they had played ball, travel baseball at 10U and
Mike Lindstrom:said, "Amazing family. You're gona love em if you meet them. They're great."
Mike Lindstrom:And that was the only couple they knew.
Dallas Baldri:Casey's an icon and, and
Mike Lindstrom:Of course.
Dallas Baldri:Racing.
Dallas Baldri:I mean, his family.
Dallas Baldri:he loved the wine.
Rylee Baldri:He is a very nice one.
Dallas Baldri:He actually was the one that
Dallas Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: He was positive.
Dallas Baldri:…loved it.
Dallas Baldri:He loved it.
Dallas Baldri:We had great conversations.
Rylee Baldri:He did.
Rylee Baldri:I wish he could have had a confessional on wine night.
Rylee Baldri:He was so grateful and thankful that day.
Dallas Baldri:Classy guy.
Mike Lindstrom:Did they… I got a sense that, and it could be the editing, I get
Mike Lindstrom:that, but the first few episodes, it's kinda like they were on the peripheral.
Mike Lindstrom:Like they, they didn't come to the Sedona thing.
Mike Lindstrom:were they a late add to the show?
Mike Lindstrom:Was it just the way it was cut?
Rylee Baldri:No.
Dallas Baldri:I think they had plans.
Rylee Baldri:I think they had their reservations about
Rylee Baldri:people, other people who were
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Okay.
Rylee Baldri:…last minute added.
Mike Lindstrom:Got it.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah, because there was a couple people
Dallas Baldri:added, right at the very end.
Mike Lindstrom:I mean, there was literally, there was one, like, third or
Mike Lindstrom:fourth, whatever the episode was where I'm like, they haven't even showed them in
Mike Lindstrom:this whole entire 30 minutes I'm watching.
Mike Lindstrom:They're not even on the show.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:No, she's one of the originals.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:And I don't wanna speak for her.
Mike Lindstrom:Sure.
Mike Lindstrom:Sure.
Mike Lindstrom:No.
Rylee Baldri:I'd rather
Dallas Baldri:And Casey's off racing, winning races doing his thing, so.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah, he's busy.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:He's really busy and they're always off, you know.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:And she's with him, so.
Dallas Baldri:uh, really appreciate you guy having us.
Mike Lindstrom:You guys are naturals, man.
Mike Lindstrom:You guys are naturals.
Mike Lindstrom:This is so good.
Mike Lindstrom:This is so good.
Mike Lindstrom:I love when I get to meet people without cameras around.
Mike Lindstrom:I mean, obviously, this is our home.
Scott Leese:There's a few cameras around.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, no, but I'm saying, Like reality TV, it's that fourth wall
Mike Lindstrom:- Scott Leese: It's a little different.
Mike Lindstrom:That whole you don't know what's going on.
Rylee Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:It's really being real and authentic here.
Rylee Baldri:Mm-hmm.
Mike Lindstrom:Unlike these reality shows.
Mike Lindstrom:But that's why people watch these shows.
Dallas Baldri:Yeah.
Mike Lindstrom:So I guess we won't be reading the comments.
Mike Lindstrom:We'll focus on the positive.
Mike Lindstrom:Hopefully you've got that feeling from us because we wanted to hear your story.
Rylee Baldri:I do.
Rylee Baldri:I think you guys
Rylee Baldri:- Mike Lindstrom: Yeah.
Rylee Baldri:…are amazing.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah thank you.
Rylee Baldri:Thanks so much for having us.
Mike Lindstrom:Absolutely.
Mike Lindstrom:We're gonna take on the dinner.
Mike Lindstrom:We're gonna take up on that next time.
Mike Lindstrom:We're done
Rylee Baldri:with that.
Rylee Baldri:All
Mike Lindstrom:right.
Mike Lindstrom:[unintelligible]
Rylee Baldri:Great.
Rylee Baldri:At the end of the show, we threw the bombest party.
Rylee Baldri:I'm showing my age by using the bomb.
Dallas Baldri:For Salvatore.
Rylee Baldri:His 14th birthday.
Rylee Baldri:And we're so sad it did not make it, but I think they, they were going a
Rylee Baldri:certain way with the way that we looked.
Dallas Baldri:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:But anyways, I don't wanna talk about that.
Rylee Baldri:But we threw a really fun party
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:And we're gonna be sharing it online.
Rylee Baldri:But it was like
Mike Lindstrom:Okay.
Rylee Baldri:An all out, like, end of the year party.
Rylee Baldri:I wish they woulda ended with it, but we had a foam party.
Rylee Baldri:We had
Dallas Baldri:Bowling alley.
Rylee Baldri:There was foam.
Dallas Baldri:Pizza maker.
Rylee Baldri:Pizza maker.
Rylee Baldri:Wow.
Dallas Baldri:The best pizza maker in town.
Mike Lindstrom:Yeah, that's great.
Dallas Baldri:It was, it was incredible.
Mike Lindstrom:Well, I'm looking forward to watching the final episode.
Mike Lindstrom:I watch it tonight.
Dallas Baldri:Let us know how it goes.
Mike Lindstrom:All right.
